The New Mexico Department of Transportation is currently conducting Study to identify roadway improvement alternatives, to include analysis of roadway constraints and operational safety, existing roadway typical sections and pavement conditions, intersections and the possible need to extend the four-lane roadway section. Additionally center turn lanes and acceleration/deceleration lanes, and functional improvements to the “Y” intersection to include possible need for round-about will be analyzed.
